Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, direct, manage and co-ordinate the Group’s HR Operations in Yemen Region, providing an efficient HR service and contributing to the management of the Regional  business by delivering benchmark performance in quality, speed and cost of operations, while also providing a strategic HR Generalist service to its Regional business units and functions.
• Responsible for actively building and retaining team member relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior customer service.
• Establishes effective HR programs, policies and processes which comply with the challenges of the Regional business needs as per relevant Industry Standards and Practices.
• Ensure that the HR Policies and Strategies are aligned with Regional business strategies, and linked with the Group’s overall Long Term Strategic Business Plan, the Corporate HR Strategic Road Map & Plan, and the Regional Annual Operating Plans.
• Lead projects on strategic Human Resources plans and organizational development and design activities that are aligned and supportive of the long term business goals and objectives for the Region.
• Drive implementation of appropriate Company Employee Service Centre, and Corporate HR Centers of Excellence strategies, initiatives, services and plans.
• Provide support and guidance on the delivery of effective HR Administration, employee relations, performance management, succession Planning, talent retention and management and development practices across the Region in close cooperation with Business Heads, Unit Managers and Group Corporate HR.
• Monitor, control and evaluates work of all reporting positions and functions in order to ensure proper planning for short and long-term strategies, including budgeting, staffing, planning, and goal setting; ensures quality departmental analyses and recommendations.
• Ensure all employees legal and labor requirements and laws are being met across the Region.
• Design and maintain a Compensation and Reward Package at all levels based on proper evaluation system across the Region as per relevant Industry and Market practices.
• Communicates with corporate human resource management staff in order to maintain consistent procedures, guidelines, and practices in all areas of disciplines; informs corporate management of potential liabilities and problems.
• Manage the Board of Review Program to assure integrity of the grievance hearing system, assigns representatives and management representatives, conducts training and ensures timely documentation and reporting.

Desired Skills & Experience

Qualification: MBA in HR.

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 15 years of HR experience, out of which at least 5 years of experience at  Senior Management Level within FMCG and Manufacturing Industry is a must.
• Experience in MNC is mandatory.
• Experience in Family owned holding groups preferred.
• Experience of bringing a cultural change within the organisation.
• Experience of working in a multi cultural and multi ethnic environment preferred.
• Experience of managing a multi-site or multi-country dispersed workforce in KSA.
• Should be able to work in a challenging environment where you will be required to lead and manage a range of strategic projects whilst maintaining a practical and hands on approach.
• Creative, resourceful and your ability to build credible relationship across the business will be fundamental.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and focus on exceeding goals and results.
• Be client and customer (Internal and External) focused, accustomed to working within a matrix reporting organization and with multi-functional groups at all levels across several companies.
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English and Arabic are must.
• Hands on Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems are mandatory.
• Profound know-how in all the primary HR processes and concepts.
• Extensive Knowledge of Yemen Government and Labor rules & regulations.
• High degree of integrity, accountability, assertiveness, cultural sensitivity and flexibility.
• Willing to travel extensively (20%) across the Region or Corporate HQ.
